Project Description

Goal: Improve the care of patients with diabetes mellitus through increased availability of diabetes self-management education (DSMES).

Results

As of June, 2022:

  • Mean A1c reduction 1.83% (Individual participants have experienced A1c reductions of 1.4-6.5%) 

  • Mean weight loss 10.3 lbs 

  • Participant evaluations were all excellent with suggestions of improving organization and decreasing the usage of medical terms in some of the presentations.
